Another corporate giant with its head in the clouds on its way out. Just cancelled my gym membership. Such a shame because facilities are excellent but not over 210 good. They sent a price increase of over 5% which I feel is unacceptable. Shame I'll find another
money grabbers from what I can tell. Sad, because the facilities look ok.
Rude staff. My family and I have been members before and after being advised of a 1.7million refurbishment, my sister and I paid for the two week trial. Informed Sonny I would be using pool facilities (later found out this hasnt been refurbished) to discover half way through my trial, pool was closed. Dont know why I wasnt informed of this when signing up for the trial but asked if I could carry on the trial once pool was back open considering I paid almost 30.00 for us both to join for two weeks (didnt want to sign up until I returned back from being out of the county in June). Well the response I got was so rude. Sonny told me well I can see youve been so youve trialled it now I was blamed for him omitting to tell me the pool was going to be closed because I was five minutes late for my initial appointment. He also said youve been a member before so you dont need to trial it - and this is all after Ive paid for the trial. The tone I received over the phone is not something you pay 100 a month for. A few years back we were paying hundreds of pounds a month to now be spoken to poorly and be missold a trial period. There are just as good gyms for a lot cheaper with friendlier staff. DW fitness in Brentwood has good gym, pool, sauna jacquzi etc. and is more than half the price!
Great till you have a problem.. then senior management team couldn't care less about you.. more than happy to keep taking your 200 pound a month though
First time I went in there outdoor pool, was raining, no-one else there, had a swim under water, came up, was a fine fist on the surface, was a lovely cooling breath of fresh air, could see the swans swimming on the lake nearby, was a lovely moment, excellent facilities, doubtful you will find better.
